Your class choice matters less if your preferred race cannot play it. World of Warcraft: Forever opens more doors, but checking access still comes first. Before planning leveling routes or comparing WoW Forever Gold options, settle the character you actually want to spend those levels playing.
Start With Race and Class Access
The roster contains nine classes: Druid, Hunter, Mage, Paladin, Priest, Rogue, Shaman, Warlock, and Warrior. Six additional pairings broaden character creation: Human Hunter, Dwarf Shaman, Gnome Priest, Orc Mage, Undead Paladin, and Troll Warlock. These expand existing classes rather than introduce new ones, with Paladins and Shamans now available across both factions.
1. Check race eligibility before committing to a class.
2. Choose your faction before coordinating characters with friends.
3. Treat additional pairings as choices, not extra classes.
Compare the Two Skyborne Options
Both Skyborne factions offer Druid, Hunter, Rogue, and Warrior. Alliance High Order Skyborne add Mage, while Horde Windshaper Skyborne add Shaman. Each side therefore has five choices. If you want a Skyborne caster, that difference deserves attention before character creation. Players choosing one of the four shared classes can instead prioritize their preferred faction and playing alongside friends.
Plan Around Talent Unlocks
Talents open at level 10, while dual specialization arrives at level 40. The September 30, 2026 update retains the 11, 21, and 31-point milestones and adds one at 16 points. Reallocating talents requires a class trainer in a major city, so experimenting can mean interrupting your leveling route.
1. Review upcoming milestones before assigning talent points.
2. Plan trainer visits around your other city errands.
3. Expect abilities and talents to change during beta.
Match Your Character to Your Priorities
The useful comparison is not which faction wins overall. It is whether your preferred class fits the character and group you intend to play.
Skyborne faction | Shared choices | Additional choice | Alliance High Order | Druid Hunter Rogue Warrior | Mage | Horde Windshaper | Druid Hunter Rogue Warrior | Shaman |
Keep the Viewing Badge Separate
Those character decisions do not affect the Forever Badge. It is a streaming-account chat reward requiring 50 hours of eligible viewing; the separate MurlocJam Emote requires 25. Sign into your viewing account, watch participating live streams in the game category with drops enabled, and claim unlocked rewards through your drops inventory. Hours accumulate across sessions. The campaign runs from September 23, 2026, at 07:15 UTC to October 31 at 00:00 UTC: October 30 at 5:00 p.m. PDT or 8:00 p.m. EDT.
Make Your Character Choice First
Choose race access first, then plan talents around the unlock levels. If you are comparing cheap World of Warcraft Forever Gold options, keep that separate from both character eligibility and viewing rewards. Neither replaces checking your class options or completing the required viewing time.
